The Alphabet Soup Gang

Central Intelligence Agency is called the C.I.A.  

Federal Bureau of Investigation is called the F.B.I.

Drug Enforcement Agency is called the D.E.A. 

Federal Emergency Management Agency is called F.E.M.A.

National Security Agency is called the N.S.A. 

Internal Revenue Service is called the I.R.S.

Division of Social Services is called the D.S.S. 

Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms is called the B.A.T.F. (course a lot of us have a different meaning for those initials !!!!)

Environmental Protection Agency is called the E.P.A.  

Federal Communications Commission is called the F.C.C.

National Security Council is called the N.S.C. 

Veterans Affairs is called the V.A.

Special Weapons Assault Team is called S.W.A.T. 

Law Enforcement Officer is called a  L.E.O.

Department of Defense is called the D.O.D.  

National Intelligence Authority was called the N.I.A.   ( talk about a contradiction in terminology!! )

Presidents Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board is called "The Board"   ( give me a BREAK!! )

Environmental Justice Task Force is called the E.J.T.F.   

United States Customs Service is called the U.S.C.S.

Department of Justice is called the D.O.J.  

Special Investigations Division is called S.I.D.

United States Food & Drug Administration is called the U.S.F.D.A.   

National Park Service is called the N.P.S.

U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is called the F.W.S.  

Bureau of Indian Affairs is called the B.I.A.

Bureau of Land Management is called the B.L.M.  

Office of Inspector General, Dept. of Interior is called the O.I.G.

This list could go on forever -(and probably will get larger as I think of more of them)  but you get my drift - but have YOU OR ANYONE - EVER HEARD OR READ ANY WHERE - ANY TIME - a newspaper - a T.V. newsperson - a politician - a police report - ANYTHING - ANYWHERE - ANY TIME - 

EVER HEARD THE SECRET SERVICE CALLED THE   "S.S."???? 

 EVER WONDER ABOUT IT?????
